Kaitlyn Stephens is a licensed social worker who graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she received her master’s in social work. She also received her bachelor’s in social work from the same institution, with additional minors in disability studies and music in culture. During her time in school, Kaitlyn gained valuable experience working with children and families in both community and school settings.
Kaitlyn has experience working with kindergarten through 6th grade in a school setting, where she supported students’ academic, social, and emotional needs through a compassionate and client-centered approach to care. Kaitlyn utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, strengths-based techniques, and mindfulness in order to meet the unique individual needs of her clients. She also focuses on helping her clients develop coping skills and social-emotional learning skills to benefit their well-being in the classroom and at home.
Kaitlyn is passionate about empowering her clients by creating a safe and welcoming environment, developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and always offering compassion and empathy through every moment. Kaitlyn strongly believes in progress and positive change through the power of connection and relationship building, and she loves celebrating big and small successes with her clients.
