Kristen Gruenhagen is a Licensed Social Worker who works in the state of Ohio with children and their families. Kristen earned her master’s degree in Social Work at Miami University, with specializations in child development and working with children and families.
Kristen has many years of experience working with children and families. After several years as an intern and paraprofessional in childcare and early childhood education, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Miami University. In her nursing career Kristen spent sixteen years working in a variety of practice areas at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Kristen is pursuing her Play Therapy certification, an evidenced based technique which uses play to help children communicate their feelings. Her approach to therapy includes a variety of directive and non-directive therapeutic techniques including CBT, Somatic Practices, and Play Therapy techniques.
Outside of the office Kristen enjoys spending time with her family, reading, knitting, yoga, hiking and training her dogs.
