Jessica Byrd is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio who has experience working with children and families. She received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Miami University. She is currently pursuing her independent license (LISW) as well as her play therapy certification (RPT).
Jessica is passionate about working with children who struggle with mental health challenges as well as children who have experienced trauma. She has experience working with children in a school-based setting as well as collaborating with other adults in order to provide the best treatment for youth. She enjoys using play therapy techniques as well as cognitive behavioral therapy to encourage children to communicate their feelings and develop healthy coping skills.
When Jessica is not working, she enjoys the outdoors with her son and her boyfriend, reading mystery novels, and watching The Office.
