Aubrey Cornwall, MS, LPC

Aubrey Cornwall is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio and is excited to serve the students and families of the Lakota School District. Aubrey earned her Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor’s of Arts in psychology from Cedarville University, focusing her studies on the child and adolescent population. She is passionate about assisting children and adolescents to build confidence and coping skills, overcome fears, and address challenges with courage, as well as strengthening families and caregivers. She has effectively worked with clients who have experienced ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and anger management issues.

Aubrey believes that each individual has strengths and unique abilities that enable them to grow through challenges and overcome fears. She integrates concepts from trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, strengths-based therapy, and play therapy to create a holistic and evidence-based approach to the therapeutic relationship. Aubrey is interested in animal-assisted therapy and play therapy, and is working to incorporate these modes of therapy into her practice someday. When Aubrey is off-duty, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, volunteering in her community and church, running, hiking, and reading.
