Sydney Cain is a social work intern at Catalyst Counseling LLC, doing both school-based and office-based therapy. Sydney is currently working towards her Masters of Social Work at Miami University, where she also received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in May of 2023. Sydney currently works at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center (College Hill) as a Behavioral Health Specialist in the Psychiatric Inpatient Department. There, she works with adolescents, and she is ecstatic to work with younger children as a school-based therapist for Catalyst at Highland Elementary.
Sydney is passionate about working with children and teens. She believes that this age is the best for intervention, as it allows for children and teens to lead meaningful and healthy lives as they grow into the people they were meant to be. Sydney understands that there are many stressors that accompany this age range. She strives to support children and teens to help them identify their strengths so that they can change their lives for the better.
Outside of school and work, Sydney enjoys spending her time reading lots of books (preferably romance, mystery & fantasy novels), being with family and friends, attending trivia outings, and trying out new places to eat! She also loves snuggling with her dog Millie!
