Kaitlin Taresh, Intern

Kaitlin Taresh is a graduate student at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she is pursuing her master’s in social work and is on track to graduate in Spring 2026. She previously earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science from the same institution. Kaitlin brings over 13 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, developed during her service as a nurse in the United States Air Force.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Kaitlin believes that individuals possess the inner strength to create meaningful change by focusing on their personal growth and capabilities. She specializes in supporting clients coping with anxiety, depression, school-related challenges, and sexual trauma.

Kaitlin is deeply committed to supporting the mental health of students within local schools. Drawing from her academic training and hands-on experience, she recognizes the complex emotional and behavioral challenges that can arise in educational settings. Kaitlin works to create a balanced approach that nurtures students' mental wellness while promoting their success in the classroom.

Outside of her work and studies, Kaitlin enjoys spending time with her husband and their three daughters. She also loves coaching volleyball, baking sourdough, and taking walks with her dog, Lincoln.
