Danielle Seymore received her Bachelor’s degree, and is currently pursuing her Masters degree, in Social Work from The University of Cincinnati.
During her undergraduate studies, Danielle utilized trauma-informed care and interventions with children and adolescents at The Children’s Home of Cincinnati and Child Focus Inc. She also assisted in therapeutic interventions in group therapy and provided crisis management. Danielle has two years of experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral mental health settings, including day treatment, community-based programs, and residential settings.
Before pursuing a degree in Social Work, Danielle gained over twenty years of hands-on experience working with children and adolescents - twelve of these years dedicated to working with at-risk children and youth in Africa, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, and the United States. Danielle served an additional seven years working with children, youth, and parents within the foster care system. From mentoring foster parents, to working on a collaborative team in the child’s best interest. Danielle enjoys working to help children and their families/foster families succeed at home, at school, and in their social environments.
Danielle utilizes a person-centered and attachment-based approach where she provides a safe and empathetic environment. She practices with individuals, families, and groups. Danielle is knowledgeable in trauma-informed care, trust-based relational intervention, mindfulness, and crisis management.
Danielle is a Cincinnati native and no matter how far she travels, she always ends up back “home,” here in Cincinnati. In her free time, Danielle enjoys hiking with her husband, children, and dog, Zeke, hanging out at the pool, playing board games, and traveling. She loves going on adventures with her children and experiencing life, together as a family.
