Jackson Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. He earned his bachelor's degree from Miami University and his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. Since beginning his counseling career in 2022, Jackson has worked with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and identities, supporting clients across diverse racial, cultural, spiritual, gender, sexuality, and mental health experiences.
Jackson believes that every person brings unique strengths, challenges, and goals into counseling. His approach focuses on helping clients build confidence in themselves, recognize their personal agency, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. He primarily practices from a person-centered therapy perspective, viewing each client as the expert in their own experiences while providing guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the therapeutic process.
In addition to person-centered therapy, Jackson incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and existential therapy to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and sense of purpose.
Outside of work, Jackson enjoys traveling with his wife, trying new foods, watching sports, and playing board games and video games with friends and family.
