Ashley Couch is a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) in the State of Ohio. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work from Miami University. Throughout her career, Ashley has worked with diverse populations, including adults, adolescents, children, and families. She brings several years of experience supervising dependently licensed therapists and currently serves part-time as an adjunct professor in Miami University’s Master of Social Work program.
Ashley began her social work career in the substance use field, primarily working with adolescents experiencing substance use and mental health challenges in school-based and office-based settings. This experience sparked her passion for working with children and adolescents, which has continued to shape her professional journey. For the past seven years, she has focused on providing school-based services to elementary-aged children, supporting their emotional well-being, personal growth, and success.
Ashley was drawn to social work by her desire to help others and make a meaningful difference in their lives. She believes that children are the future and that every child deserves to feel heard, supported, and believed in. Her goal is to help children recognize their strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to reach their fullest potential.
Outside of her professional life, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and adopted Greyhound, Bug. When she is not spending time with her family and friends, you can find Ashley reading or baking cookies.
