Goldie Groen, MSW, LISW-S

Goldie Groen is a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor in the state of Ohio who is committed to the mental health and well-being of children and their families. Goldie has been providing clinical services and supervision to many in Southwest Ohio over the past 16 years.

She obtained her Bachelor’s of Social Work from Indiana University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. Goldie has also completed intensive training in Trauma Responsive Care for Children and Adolescents, Dialectical Behavior, Therapy, Mindfulness in Schools and Solution Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Goldie has extensive work experience in program administration, community mental health, school based services, addictions, and trauma resolution counseling.

Goldie assists clients coping with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, school related issues, and sexual trauma. Goldie utilizes a blend of cognitive behavioral and client centered therapy while also incorporating elements of the trauma responsive care modality to promote healing and desired results for her clients and their families. Goldie is committed to meeting the mental health needs of students in the school system. Through her clinical expertise she addresses the challenges that children face in the school system with mental health needs while working to integrate their educational needs as well.

When Goldie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. She is an active member of her community and church. She has a passion for vacationing, running with her dog Maggie, and teaching dance.
