Chrystal Bright, LPCC-S

Chrystal Bright received her bachelor's degree in psychology and master's degree in community and agency counseling from Ohio University. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory designation and has been working in the counseling field since 2001. Chrystal has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings including: residential treatment, partial hospitalization treatment for children, coordination of mental health/substance abuse care for families involved in Children's Services, school-based therapy, outpatient trauma care, group therapy in group homes, facilitating co-parenting classes for divorcing parents, and crisis situation/trauma response.

She is trained in parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), which helps strengthen relationships between the child (ages 2.5 to 7) and parents by increasing positive behaviors; and in prolonged exposure therapy (PET), which addresses reducing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms in adults. She is a member of the Star Behavioral Health registry, serving members of the military and their families. She is also a trained facilitator in the Girls Circle model of groups for girls.

Chrystal specializes in working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues in school or the home, self-esteem, military issues and self-harming behaviors. Chrystal Bright treats patients up to 5 years through 64 years. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crafting and axe throwing.
