Erica Christy, MSW, LISW-S

Erica Christy is a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor in the state of Ohio. Erica received her Master’s in Social Work in 2009 and she has been working with individuals and families since graduating. Erica has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient office settings, schools, homes, and communities. Erica specializes in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is passionate about helping children who have experienced trauma. She also specializes in depression, anxiety, mood disorders, severe behavior problems, attachment issues, anger management, grief, adjustment disorders, foster care, adoption, sexuality, low self-esteem, and parent education.

Erica received her bachelor’s degree in education therefore she feels “at home” in the school setting. She is passionate about not only serving youth and their families but also teachers and staff. When children are dealing with high stressors in their personal lives, learning school content is even more difficult. Erica believes having a therapist at the school will not only improve the student’s quality of life but also their ability to learn.

Erica is married and has two sons. She enjoys traveling (especially to the beach), painting, playing piano, attending her son’s football and basketball games, learning, roller skating, concerts, and going to the movies.

Erica wants to help others feel empowered, become an advocate for themselves, learn how to nurture themselves and teach them how to ride the waves of life.
