Christian L. Hughes is a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor in the state of Ohio and is the co-owner/founder of Catalyst Counseling, LLC. She graduated with a masters degree in social work from Ohio University and has over 15 years experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various clinical, medical, psychiatric, emergency, correctional, and school-based settings. She has experience supervising masters level clinical social work interns as well as supervising school based programs. Christy has specialized training in the use of play therapy. She also has specialized training in the Seven Challenges® Program, an evidenced based adolescent drug and alcohol treatment program. She has extensive experience working with clients who have mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attachment issues, and those who have experienced trauma, specifically sexual abuse.
