Nathan Edwards is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio who works with families and children of all ages. Nathan is particularly adept at developing and cultivating the therapeutic relationship. He utilizes Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral and Motivational Interviewing techniques to help clients get the most out of their counseling sessions. Nathan has trained in providing EMDR interventions for PTSD and trauma. Nathan has worked both in the school setting and with children and families in their homes and communities. Nathan is passionate about meeting clients where they are and joining in a therapeutic alliance to help meet their goals and move towards improved mental health.
Nathan was born in Kenya, where he lived for 14 years before moving to Germany for high school. Nathan’s multi-cultural upbringing allows him to easily adapt to client needs. He is skilled at working with a wide range of cultural and ethnic groups through his personal and professional international experience. Nathan has worked in the counseling field for 6 years, with a Master of Arts from Colorado Christian University. After finishing his graduate degree, Nathan spent 3 years serving as a school counselor in Kenya.
In addition to his role as a therapist, Nathan loves playing guitar, listening to music, and all things related to soccer.
