Kandice Deitrick is a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Ohio with experience working with adults, adolescents, and children in a variety of settings. Kandice has 3 years of experience working with chemical dependency doing both group work and individual sessions.
Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Kandice left home to attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio for her Bachelor’s degree. She relocated back up north in Lakewood, Ohio while she completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University. Kandice is a 2016 graduate of JCU and is currently working towards independent licensure. She travelled to Cincinnati, Ohio one year ago and has enjoyed exploring her new territory ever since.
Kandice enjoys incorporating her spirituality into her counseling and uses an existential approach to help children and adults find meaning in their day to day life experiences. Kandice practices mindfulness every day as a part of her own self-care, and enjoys teaching it to the people that she works with as coping skills to manage everything they have going on in their lives. Kandice’s warm, genuine, and optimistic personality allows her to make deep, meaningful connections and build trusting relationships easily with others.
Kandice enjoys spending her free time doing yoga, meditating, and traveling the world.
