Dana Auer is a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio. Dana received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science at Ohio State University. She then earned her Master’s degree in Social Work at Case Western Reserve University, as well as her certification in school social work at Baldwin Wallace University.
Dana has been working with children of all ages for over twenty years in a variety of diverse settings. She began her career in Lakota Local Schools serving the East side of the district as a school social worker for students in grades K - 12. Dana continued her career on the Mom/Baby unit at Good Samaritan Hospital as a perinatal social worker, assisting new mothers with parenting education, resources, and community support. Dana’s most recent experience was working at Brightview Health as a clinical counselor serving individuals in substance abuse recovery.
With Dana’s extensive background in education and social work she has a passion for counseling in a school-based setting so that she can support not only children and their families, but also teachers and staff.
In Dana’s spare time, she enjoys being with her husband and her two children, ages 10 and 13, and their family cat and dog. Dana is a frequent volunteer at her children’s respective schools and sporting activities. Dana is a Cincinnati native and is very familiar with the community and all it has to offer.
