Mari Gargano is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cincinnati Christian University. She has been working in the mental health field for over eight years supporting children, adolescents and families in a number of settings, including outpatient, day treatment, intensive home based and schools. Mari has experience working with children and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, self-injurious behaviors and trauma.
Mari utilizes interventions from a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered, Art and Play Therapy as well as Mindfulness Practices. Through an integrative approach she helps adolescents rediscover their strengths and identity while developing confidence, healthy coping skills and emotional regulation. Mari believes that mental and emotional health is vital to overall well being, her goal is to help individuals attain a greater quality of life.
Aside from counseling, Mari enjoys traveling, photography and baking. She also loves spending time with her husband and one year old son.
