Erica Kavalauskas graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. During her undergraduate studies, Erica began hands on experiences in the field of mental health, running intervention groups at Zepf Center in Toledo. During her undergraduate studies, she spent time in Haiti helping those at medical clinics by distributing aid to those that were affected by the 2010 earthquake, along with providing summer educational opportunities to those enrolled in summer camp.
Currently, Erica completing her master’s in Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University and intends to graduate in 2019. While studying, Erica gained valuable experience in the field by working as a community-based therapist. Her time in the field has given her the opportunity to work with a range of client’s, from young children to older adults. Her approach to therapy includes cognitive behavioral techniques along with family therapy and solution-focused therapy techniques. She is excited about school based services due to her passion about education and helping children succeed in the school setting.
During her free time, Erica enjoys the company of her family, significant other, and her cats. She enjoys being outdoors and traveling across the globe.
